Apprentice Mage of the Wedge Tower. Her true identity is a Harpy from the Breakneck Gorge, Folulutia.
Currently practicing flight using the Magical Flying Device.
As part of a species specced for flight, pays a surprising amount of attention to her weight. A light eater.

Wren Bayer
Son of the President of the Bayer Trading Company and a mistress. Pretty boy.
Has a talent for imitating others’ handwriting. Still searching for the right magic.
Understands that magic swords are beyond his capabilities, but wants to try them anyways because they’re super cool.

Adelheid Sevil Lamea Krewing
Her highness, the Imperial Princess. Known as the ‘Barbarian Sword Princess.’
The curved sword she uses is a single-edged blade, more like a katana, but the Empire makes no distinction between the swords of barbarians and calls them all ‘Barbarian Swords.’

Smoke Fox / Caspar Hütter (Fake)
Infiltrating the Wedge Tower on the Black Lion Emperor’s orders. Teaches history in group lessons.
“A lot of them really have no interest in history, so I need to find some way to make it more interesting…… Alright, first I’ll drum up some excitement with a catchy lesson title…… I’ll make some mnemonics to make the dates easier to remember, and if I sprinkle in some jokes about important historical figures then they’ll be sure to remember them…..”
A con man who stays up late thinking about such things.

Röhm’s Class: A genius woman who uses both Classical and Modern magic

Roswitha Ohlendorf
A girl who ties her fluffy orange hair into two braids and wears a pointy hat.
A mage of the Classical School. Uses sticks hidden under her cloak as catalysts to activate her magic.
Seems her mother was once at the Wedge Tower.

Ella Frank
Wears glasses and ties her sand-colored hair in a braid.
Came from a Magical University, but failed out after being unable to emit mana.

Sophie Schwarzenberg
Black hair with one purple lock on either side.
Hails from a renowned family of Shamans. A moody person who thinks “Having a darkness attribute makes me look moody, I don’t like it…..”

Sombart’s Class: Specializes in practical Modern magic

Julius Löwenich
Black haired guy who laughs like “ku, ku, ku.” Wears a ring that contains a greater spirit.
Came to the Wedge Tower to investigate the reason why his father was exiled from the Tower.
Following his father’s teachings, tries to solve everything with money.

John Rose
Red-haired, fuzzy, and muscular.
Has a tendency to leave things everywhere due to his careless attitude, but rooms with Oliver, whose particular nature helps him a lot.

Oliver Lange
Slicks his light-brown hair into spikes. Calls himself the ‘Red Rain.’
Like his brother, fights using a spear and flight magic, but can only fly straight up.
“A healthy mind and body starts with a healthy lifestyle” is his motto. Early to bed, early to rise.

Armster’s Class: Makes magical devices with a focus on imbuement magic

Rukiye Sorge
Beautiful girl who wears a turban around her straight, blonde hair.
Born to a reasonably wealthy family, but wanted to become an artisan no matter what, so blew off her family’s objections and came to the Wedge Tower.

Finn Nohl
A short, black-haired young boy.
One of many sons of a poor woodcutter. Sent to the Wedge Tower so they’d have one less mouth to feed.
Academically about the same level as Tia; receives tutoring from Julius.
Has bad legs and often drags his feet when he walks.

Gerald Anker
A black-haired boy with long bangs. Shares a room with Wren.
Owns a sword, but no one has ever seen him actually using it.
Polite and quiet.

Mages of the First Spire: White Smoke

Melchior John Hegelich
Guidance Office Director. Middle-aged man with a blond bowl cut and glasses.
Specializes in Modern Magecraft. Previously used to be a teacher at a Magical University.

Anneliese Röhm
Member of the Guidance Office. Kind lady with short bangs.
A magic idiot who researches both Classical and Modern magic.
Prior to her mana organ damage, used to be part of the Extermination Office.

Sombart
Member of the Guidance Office. A blond, attractive man. Always showing a toothy smile.
A mage who specializes in Modern magic. Loves shifty, immoral adults.

Armster
Member of the Guidance Office. A middle-aged man who always looks like he’s on the verge of death.
A coward and a worrywart. Occasionally clutches his chest and convulses; those around him find it annoying.
Belongs to the Modern School, and specializes in imbuement magic.

Meine
Branch Director of the Medical Office’s Second Branch. A black-haired glasses-wearing girlfailure.
Has limited talents as a doctor.

Mages of the Second Spire: Golden Needle

Böll
Director of the Protection Office. A young woman who wears her blonde hair in a ponytail. The second-youngest Director after Extermination Office Director Haydn.
Was classmates with Haydn and Röhm. Loves to gossip about romance.

Otto
Member of the Protection Office. An unambitious man.
A magic sword user who has lately been training with Sevil.
Was once in the Extermination Office, but rarely talks about those times.

Fritz Haydn
Director of the Extermination Office. A cheery blond young man. Youngest among the Directors.
Former classmates and rivals with Anneliese Röhm from the Guidance Office. Apparently secretly holds a crush on her.

Frederik Lange
Member of the Extermination Office. A long-limbed smiley guy. Specializes in flight magic.
Ordinarily very pleasant, becomes very unpleasant when it comes to Monsters or his brother.
Insomniac. Occasionally falls asleep on the spot, requiring Rikard to go scoop him up.

Helena
Member of the Extermination Office. A silver-haired woman who specializes in water magic. Frederik’s classmate.
Will often say “I’m so sad……” while hitting you with an emotion that is clearly anything but sadness.

Rikard Oks
Member of the Extermination Office. An axe-wielding dark-skinned young man. Frederik’s classmate.
Seems to have a dream he won’t share with anyone.

Dammer
Member of the Extermination Office. Uses a whip. Has a huge X-shaped scar on his face.
Tia thinks of him as “a potential souvenir for my sister.”

Diehl
Director of the Investigation Office. A gentleman who wears a three-piece suit.
While the Investigation Office is filled with former members of the Protection and Extermination Offices who have retired from the front lines, he has stuck with the Investigation Office from a young age.
Whenever he says “That’s going to be a problem,” it usually isn’t a problem at all.

Treu
Director of the Medical Office’s Main Branch. A strong granny.
Even the most hot-headed of the Extermination Office feel compelled to bow before Director Treu.

Mages of the Third Spire: Water Bubble

Kappel
Director of the Management Office. A grandpa who is loyal to his own desires. An inventor.
Currently working on a Magical Flying Device.
Hütter’s drinking buddy.

Winston Barrett
Member of the Management Office. A man with reddish-brown hair and a leather jacket. Specializes in long-range flight using flight magic.
Arrived at the Wedge Tower relatively recently.
“In my home country, a scary young man chased me around, saying ‘*Won’t you come work for us? We have work-at-home, you know!’ so I ran away. Sheesh, that was scary.”
That’s what he said, although no one has been able to confirm it.

Monsters of the Crystal Territory

King of Monsters
White hair, silver eyes, wears a black robe, and beneath that robe is only darkness.

Chancellor
Made the Crystal Rivets. Hated by both Jack and Jill.

Jill
A fashionable vampire. His beautiful face became all droopy after being poisoned by the Poppo Dance.
Only recently have the edges of his face straightened back out.

Primordial Beast
A silver wolf. As a Lesser Monster, cannot take a human form, but is extremely strong on account of having been born from the Abyss in the old age.
Enjoys battles against strong humans and leaves an X-shaped scar on the faces of those he favors instead of killing them.

Jack
A Monster who is obsessed with stealing humans’ warmth.
Has now melted, and his whereabouts are unknown.
