The Apprentice Assistant Representative. Good at copying other peoples’ handwriting.
In service to the Witch of the Boundary, forged a book called ‘The Truth of the Thorn Witch

Adelheid Sevil Lamea Krewing
The Emperor’s sister. The Barbarian Sword Princess who wields a curved sword.
In order to protect Tia’s secret, she outwardly explains her motivations for seeking the Wedge Tower’s secrets as ‘In order to bring the Wedge Tower under my control.
Is actually reasonably serious about that.

Smoke Fox / Caspar Hütter (Fake)
A third-rate con man investigating the cause behind the Wedge Tower cutting off ties with the previous Emperor.
While he has limited influence within the Wedge Tower due to his position as a mage sent by the Mage Association, when dealing with outside organizations, his title of ‘Advanced mage of the Mage Association’ earns him significant trust.
As a result, this con man is indispensable when mediating between bickering adults.

Apprentice Mages

Röhm’s Class: Class led by a genius woman who uses both Modern and Classical Magecraft

Roswitha Ohlendorf
Classical School mage with a pointy hat. Controls fish of water.
Since her roommate Ella has just undergone surgery, she’s helping her out with all sorts of things.

Ella Frank
The Apprentice Representative and a glasses-wearing honor student. Poor at emitting mana.
Underwent surgery to improve her mana emission. Currently absent from lessons.

Sophie Schwarzenberg
Hails from a famous family of Shamans.
Has five curses embedded in her body, but can only use curses that kill people painfully.
Believes in the supremacy of happy endings. Wants friends to discuss books with, so recommends her favorite books to the other Apprentices.

Sombart’s Class: Class that specializes in practical Modern Magecraft

Julius Löwenich
Son of renowned mage Samuel Löwenich.
Investigating the reason his father was exiled from the Wedge Tower.
Started cooperating with Tia and co, but was imprisoned.

Flame Spirit Agniol
Julius’ contracted spirit.
Used to be contracted to Samuel Löwenich.

John Rose
Red-haired, fuzzy, muscular man.
Due to his family’s conditions, can only stay at the Wedge Tower for one year.
Is searching for a family treasure that was stolen by a bird monster.

Oliver Lange
Member of the Lange Monster Hunting Family. The spiky-smiley ‘Red Rain.’
Has had his emotions of fear constantly eaten by an Arachne named Romy.

Armster’s Class: Class focused on imbuement magic that creates magical devices

Rukiye Sorge
A stubborn girl with the air of an artisan. Has recently been getting friendlier.
Gifted a woven bracelet to a strange young individual.
Currently has her hands full repairing broken weapons at the Lange Hamlet.

Finn Nohl
He and Sophie are the youngest among the Apprentice Mages.
He has bad legs, dragging his feet when he walks. Member of the ‘Socks to Bed Party.’
Lame-legged, but tough.

Gerald Anker
A boy with long bangs. Has excellent physical capabilities. Has a sword.
Loves eating and has been learning gardening from Rose.
Recently started learning how to cook. According to Sophie, has an old-fashioned way of thinking.

Wedge Tower Spiremasters

Möbius
Headmaster. Tall, silver-haired swordsman.
Wielder of the Ancient Magical Artifact ‘Ignatius, the Severer.’
Headed North with the mission to retake Darwock. After escorting the Darwock Royal Family, is on his way back to the Wedge Tower in a serious hurry.

Miriam
Assistant Headmaster. Blonde woman in a nun’s habit. Devoted to her faith.
Former Director of the Library Office, Linke’s predecessor. Due to pain in her throat, cannot sing nor shout in a loud voice.
Currently in charge of the Wedge Tower in Möbius’ absence.

Abel
Spiremaster of the First Spire: White Smoke.
A gentle lady who’s always smiling.

Lowein
Spiremaster of the Second Spire: Golden Needle. A one-armed old man.
Loudmouthed and imposing. Frederik’s master.

Alto
Spiremaster of the Third Spire: Water Bubble. A straightforward old lady.
Somewhat of an artist. An old-timer at the Wedge Tower who’s known Old Man Kappel for ages.

Melchior John Hegelich
Guidance Office Director. Middle-aged man with a blond bowl-cut and glasses.
A Modern School mage. Was a frequent target of Samuel Löwenich’s schemes.

Anneliese Röhm
Member of the Guidance Office. A kind woman with short bangs. Suffered from damaged mana organs.
Former rivals with Extermination Office Director Haydn and mentor to Frederik and co.

Sombart
Member of the Guidance Office. A smiley bastard of a teacher. Loves bad men.
Admired Samuel Löwenich and offered to work with Hütter to uncover the reason behind his exile.
Currently responsible for watching his pigeons.

Armster
Member of the Guidance Office. A fidgety middle-aged man who always looks like he’s on the brink of death.
Specializes in imbuement magic. Hütter seems to have opinions about the way he acts.

Mages of the Second Spire: Golden Needle (Spiremaster: Lowein)

Frederik Lange
Member of the Extermination Office. A smiley man who excels in flight magic.
Noticing that his brother’s fear had been eaten, he worked desperately to prevent him from dying.
Has been shaken by the death of the Arachne who ate his brother’s emotions.

Helena
Member of the Extermination Office. Frederik’s classmate. Uses water magecraft.
Saint of the Ras Belsch Orthodoxy. Wielder of the Ancient Magical Artifact ‘Eurydice, the Cackling Foam.’
Helped out with healing operations when in training to become a Saint. A genius at getting even the toughest patients to take their medicine. But, as she herself says, it requires ‘twisting it in there.

Rikard Oks
Member of the Extermination Office. Frederik’s classmate. Wields an axe.
Wants to be a Monster Hunter who makes people smile by singing and dancing.
Had thought it might be cool to make an appearance while singing. Had thought doing so might make the people he saved feel more relieved… but when he actually tried it, was treated like a lunatic killer.

Dammer
Member of the Extermination Office. A Man with a huge X-shaped scar across his face. Wields a whip.
Wears a fang as a necklace.

Mages of the Third Spire: Water Bubble (Spiremaster: Alto)

Kappel
Director of the Management Office. An old man and an inventor.
Drinks often.

Winston Barrett
Member of the Management Office. Specializes in long-range flight magic. Set the national record for longest recorded flight in his home country.

Linke
Director of the Library Office. Elegant woman with long hair neatly tied up.
Can control Monsters sealed in books. Tutoring Sophie.

King of Monsters
White hair and silver eyes. Used to have black hair but gave it away to the Chancellor in exchange for him making the Crystal Rivets.

Charonlala
A Harpy with wings and hair that resemble a raging inferno.

Chancellor
An unsettling man wearing a hood. Made the Crystal Rivets.
Intensely hated by the other Monsters.

Jill
A Greater Monster in the form of a handsome blond man.
A vampire who just positively adores art that those cute little humans make. ‘Mwah, mwah!

Romy
A weak Monster who had long been eating Oliver’s fear.
In the end, filled her stomach with all the sadness she could ask for.

Others

Kai
A young man wrapped in bandages all over.
Picked up Tia after she lost her wings and brought her to the Witch. Is in fact the Chancellor who schemes at the side of the King of Monsters.

Witch
Makes miracles in exchange for colors and mana. Often called ‘The Witch of the Boundary.’
Her true identity is the Ancient Magical Artifact ‘Rebecca, the Cackling Foam.’ However, Wren hypothesizes that she has made a human body with the artifact’s powers and is puppeting it around.
